The Dutch program Between Realities is a research in the public space of Praha 1, the city centre of Prague. It consists of small scale interventions, cartographic explorations and public discussions. Each day our team critically explored and intervened in the many staged realities that are to be found around the city. They focus on the tension between the emerging Disneyfication and theatricalisation of the inner city and the continuation of daily life in Prague. They used their scenographical tools and views to map realities of commerce, tourism, history, politics, labour and art; to expose or question their scenography, or even transform it. How do these realities relate to each other and how do people cope with them?  Do we fight, flee, shelter, negotiate or surrender?

Between Realities, the Dutch entry to the PQ 2015, is a project of Platform Scenography. Initiator and project leader: Anne Karin ten Bosch (scenographer). Curatorial team: Sanne Danz (scenographer), Sigrid Merx (dramaturge), Iris Schutten (architect & writer), Ester van de Wiel (designer public space). ‘Exhibition’ design: Ester van de Wiel and We Are Amp. Graphic design: We Are Amp. Between Realities won the price for Best Curatorial concept of the Praque Quadrianalle 2015.
